Questions

Recurring cleaning questions

How does recurring cleaning work?
Pick weekly, every 2 weeks or every 4 weeks, and a regular day and time. Your visits are scheduled ahead automatically, with the same cleaner whenever possible, and your card is charged after each visit.
Which frequency should I choose?
Every 2 weeks is the most popular: the home never gets far behind. Weekly suits busy households with kids or pets and costs 10% less per visit. Every 4 weeks works for lightly used homes and costs 20% more per visit.
Is there a contract?
No. You can skip a visit, pause or cancel from your account. Skipping or pausing is free when the visit is more than 48 hours away.
Why is my first visit priced as a deep clean?
If your home hasn't had a professional cleaning in the last four weeks, the first visit is a deep clean, so every regular visit after it starts from a clean baseline. You see both prices before you book.
Will I always get the same cleaner?
That's our goal, and the booking system always tries your usual cleaner first. If she's sick or away, we'll tell you ahead and offer another time or another cleaner.
Do I need to be home?
No, most clients aren't. Add a door, lockbox or alarm code when you book; codes are stored encrypted and only shown to your cleaner on the day of the visit.
How do tips work?
Tips are always optional. You can add one when you review your visit report, and 100% goes to your cleaner.
Are you insured, and are your cleaners background-checked?
Yes. Lantern Home Cleaning is insured, and our cleaners are background-checked.
